CREW LUCKY #13
This is the required Meet & Greet hike for the August 25-29, 2021 Powwow Trail fall clearing crew #13, led by Susan Pollock and Chris Anderson.

LOCATION
We will meet at Wabun Picnic Shelter F, Wabun Picnic Area, just east of Minnehaha Regional Park in Minneapolis. See map below. Follow signage to the MN Veterans Home. Picnic shelter F will be on your left before you reach the Veterans Home. Parking is free and right in front of the shelter. Look for the backpacks.

We will show-and-tell and check gear check for about an hour. We'll check your pack for comfort and essential gear in preparation for our August 25-29 adventure on the Powwow trail.

After the gear party we will head out for a short hike along Minnehaha Creek.

WHAT TO BRING
Bring your full backpack (food optional), 1 liter of water, and at two questions about what to bring or not bring on trail. We still have two weeks left to tweak our packs after this hike but plan to have most of what you are bringing with you on trail. We will for sure be checking sleep system, tent, rain gear (remember rain? it could happen), and backpack. We'll talk about layers, food, cook kits, and other essentials.

WHAT ELSE
It's a Meet & Greet! We will meet each other, go over our trip plan, and hash out carpools and departure details.
