This event is the crew hike and meeting for the September 19-23, 2019 canoe-in to Powwow Trail west side. Others are welcome to join us to learn more about volunteering for wilderness trails with BWAC and for an evening walk along the Mississippi River.

Part I (about and hour). We will go over our group and individual gear, filling in blanks and making sure everyone has the right stuff to be safe within the limits of comfort. I will send out a draft trip plan a few days ahead of this meeting and we we'll run through that together also.

Part II (about an hour). Hike! The North Mississippi River Regional Park is located right in urban Minneapolis and is part of the 72-mile Minnesota section of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.

What to have with you:
Crew members--bring the pack you will be using on trail, less food. We are still about a month from departure so there is time to edit, add or subtract items in the coming weeks. Have a filled water bottle for the hike portion.
Guests--at a minimum carry a water bottle.
Everyone--dress for the weather. Hike will be rain or shine.
