Join us for a hike and/or overnight camping event within Carver Park Reserve. We’ll hike, we'll camp, we'll chat about BWAC, our mission, and all things Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, trips and gear! All are welcome, up to 35 attendees - we look forward to connecting with you.
Note: Please prepare for this as if you were going backpacking, with food and gear that you would bring on an overnight trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Food will not be provided. Not sure what to bring? Check out this link.
We will hike a couple mile loop, meeting at the Parley Lake picnic benches (parking and benches area circled in blue on map) for the day hike, and then everyone staying overnight can move cars over to the group site afterward. We will be camping at Lake Zumbra 1 Group Site (site is circled in red on the map).
The site may or may not have running water, depending on temperatures. Please be prepared to bring your own water. Vault toilets will be available. There is a short walk from the parking lot. While we love pets, we are not able to allow them for this event. Please be mindful of quiet hours after 10pm within the park. Alcohol is not allowed at this event. No children under 14, please.
Even if you can't join for the overnight, feel free to join for the hike and discussion!
Please arrive with full pack you intend to use on trail. Tents only please.
