2020 ACCOMPLISHMENTS
What We Achieved in 2020
2020 was a challenging year for BWAC. After COVID-19 restrictions cancelled our public Spring trips, we spent the spring developing a new COVID policy and performing small survey trips to plan for the fall. This allowed us to have more limited public trips in the fall.

Spring Trips
May 21-26 - Counterclockwise Treefall Survey Trip
This small 6 person crew hiked the entire trail counting treefalls and marking trail conditions around the entire loop as well as providing feedback for the new trail guide. The trail was found to be in good shape but with plenty of work. The total count was 1217 tree falls around the trail to clear.
May 22-25 - Clockwise Trail Guide Review
This double father-son crew surveyed the loop in the counter clockwise direction surveying trail conditions, marking poor areas on the trail, and verifying the information in the newly written trail guide. The Diana Lake Bridge in particular was noted as needing repair this year.
